Puppets in Performance was founded in 2011 by Darlene Fedele Thompson, a playwright, composer, and puppeteer with over 20 years’ experience.  Thompson writes, directs, and produces shows for her company, which is currently based in the Pittsburgh area. The troupe has performed at various venues and events in the area, including the Glitter Box Theater, Wizardvue, Maker Faire, Lafayettte Square Senior Apartments, Community Day, and the Arcade Comedy Theater, to name a few. At the Pittsburgh Fringe Festival, Thompson’s puppet plays have won awards three years in a row. More recently, during the pandemic, she has created and performed new skits online via Zoom.
